Every exam season students ask the same thing: can Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard see what I’m doing? The honest answer is that these platforms log far less than the rumors claim. On their own they’re websites, not spyware \u2014 they record timestamps, page views, and your IP, but they can’t see your screen, your other tabs, or your room. Real monitoring only starts when your instructor adds a proctoring tool like\u00a0Respondus<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Proctorio<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 and you’re always told when that happens.<\/p>\n
